USDT to RMB — Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about settlement process, rates, timing, and compliance at ExtentExchange.
What is the current USDT to RMB rate?
The desk rate is fixed per 2-hour window and ranges between ¥6.75 and ¥6.95 per USDT. It does not change mid-window — if you refresh the page, you will see the same rate. Visit the Live Rates page for the current quote and countdown to the next update.
Why is the Bank TT rate lower than Alipay or WeChat Pay?
Bank transfers (TT) involve additional processing, documentation, and compliance overhead. Alipay and WeChat settle instantly with fewer steps — so they carry the best desk rate. The Bank TT rate is typically ¥0.03 lower than the digital wallet rate for the same window.
Does the rate change if I wait too long to send?
The desk rate is fixed for the current 2-hour window. If a new window starts before you send, the rate may change. Once you receive a confirmed quote from the desk, that quoted rate is honoured — the desk will not change it mid-transaction.
Are there any hidden fees on top of the rate?
No hidden fees. The desk rate shown is the settlement rate. There is no separate commission or conversion charge on top. The spread between the desk rate and market mid-price is how the desk operates.
What is the minimum for a Chinese bank transfer (TT)?
The minimum for bank transfer (TT) is $15,000 USDT. This route is best for supplier invoices, manufacturer payments, and any B2B payment where a formal bank record is required.
What is the minimum for Alipay or WeChat Pay?
The minimum for both Alipay and WeChat Pay is $500 USDT. These routes settle much faster than bank transfer — typically within 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Is there a maximum transaction size?
There is no fixed maximum. Larger transactions may require additional compliance review before the route is approved. Message the desk with your amount and the desk will confirm whether it can be handled in a single settlement or split.
Which USDT networks do you accept?
The desk accepts TRC20 and ERC20 only. Please confirm the network with the desk before sending — sending on the wrong network cannot be reversed. BEP20 (BSC) and other chains are not currently supported.
How do I start a settlement?
Message the desk on WhatsApp with: (1) the USDT amount, (2) the network (TRC20 or ERC20), and (3) the preferred payout route (Alipay, WeChat Pay, or bank transfer). The desk will reply with a confirmed rate and route details.
Should I send USDT before getting a quote?
Never send USDT before confirmation. The desk confirms the rate, route, and receiving wallet address first. Only transfer USDT after the desk has confirmed all details. This protects both parties and ensures the correct rate is applied.
What information do I need to provide for a bank transfer?
For a Chinese bank TT, the desk will need: bank name, account number, account holder name, and branch. Some transfers may also require the purpose of payment or recipient business details depending on the amount.
What information is needed for Alipay or WeChat Pay?
For Alipay: the recipient’s registered phone number or Alipay QR code. For WeChat Pay: the recipient’s WeChat ID or QR code. The desk will confirm what is needed once the route is agreed.
How long does settlement actually take?
Alipay and WeChat Pay: typically 30 minutes to 2 hours from the moment USDT is received and confirmed on-chain. Bank transfer (TT): 24 hours. Settlement time can vary slightly depending on network congestion and bank processing times.
Will I get confirmation when the RMB is delivered?
Yes. The desk sends a confirmation with transfer proof once the RMB has been delivered to the recipient. For bank transfers this includes the transfer reference. The desk remains available throughout the process.
Do I need to provide ID?
The desk may request identity verification, source of funds, or transaction purpose depending on the size and nature of the transfer. Smaller routine transactions may not require documentation. Larger or unusual flows will. See the full Compliance page for details.
Can the desk decline my transaction?
Yes. The desk reserves the right to decline or delay any transfer that involves unclear details, prohibited uses, sanction concerns, or third-party flows without proper explanation. The desk operates at its discretion.
Who can use the desk?
The desk is open to businesses and individuals worldwide who need to settle USDT to RMB for legitimate payment purposes — supplier invoices, contractor payments, Alibaba/Taobao orders, and similar China-related commercial flows.
Is this service available in my country?
The desk accepts clients from most jurisdictions globally. Certain high-risk or sanctioned jurisdictions may be excluded. If you are unsure whether your location is supported, message the desk before proceeding. See Supported Countries for the exclusion list.
